Sutra5 learning guide

What does palmistry look at?

Palmistry interprets features of the hand, including palm lines, hand shape, and proportions, through traditional symbolic conventions.

Where do the conventions come from?

Historical palmistry books contain diagrams and classifications of the hand. The National Library of Medicine documents these as part of the history of divination; preserving a text does not validate its predictions.

How should I read an interpretation?

Separate the observation from the meaning assigned to it. A visible line is a feature in a photograph; a statement about character or future events is an interpretation. Use that distinction when considering any reading.

What makes a useful palm photo?

Use even lighting, include the full palm and fingers, and keep the image in focus. Follow the upload instructions and review the processing notice before giving consent.

An example

An article may call a crease a “life line.” That traditional label should not be treated as a measurement of lifespan or as a reason to change health decisions.

How this fits into Sutra5

A palm photo is required for the traditional palm-reading lens in your Life Map. The reading is a prompt for reflection and does not provide medical guidance.
